What they say about us

Our trip to Ranakpur, Rajasthan curated by Buffyfish was exactly what we had in mind for a work vacation. We wanted a place in the lap of nature where we find solitude and peace. As it was a work vacation, we needed less distractions, and a serene environment. The company understood our needs and took us to a beautiful lodge in the jungles of Ranakpur, away from the noises of city. Vidula was always on the ball and made communication simple and efficient. Our stay turned out to be very productive, and we made a ton lot of memories in the lodge, and the activities they had curated for us. It was the perfect mix of solitude to work and being in a stimulating environment.

Thank you so much for making our holiday a memorable one.

We had a great time at Siddhi Vinayak Farms (Konkan Safari) at Chiveli village near Chiplun.

The place being completely in the lap of nature helped us rejuvenate and connect and helped us to unwind. The resort was on top of a hill which made the journey very exciting.

The accommodation, which was a farmhouse on the hill, was surrounded by lush green mango and cashew nut trees and bushes, a small swimming pool, and a stunning view of the valley and backwaters of the river close by. The rooms were clean, the service was fine and the food was delicious. The hosts were warm and helpful.

Chiveli village had a very pleasant, welcoming atmosphere and beautiful visuals. It is untouched by urban life.

The boat ride on the back waters was the most refreshing thing there. We also visited few houses and the village and chatted with them. It was great to interact with them and learn more about their lives. We rarely do this in the city.

We also saw some mango picking which was a unique event for us. There are a couple of beautiful temples nearby. The entire area is filled with colourful flora and fauna.

I’d definitely recommend coming here with a large group of friends or family, a stay at the farmhouse and go on long walks or treks in the village.

Also Guhagar beach is half an hour drive away.

All in all, a great different and memorable experience.

Thank you for introducing us to the village and the farmhouse! We intend to visit it again in the rains!

Cheers, Mihir, Madhuri and Ira

I have known Vidula through some of our common social media platforms and groups.

A travel expert in her own right, Vidula was an immense help during the planning stages of my Ladakh trip. I had been wanting to travel to Ladakh for a long time and wanted everything to be perfect about it. So when I reached out to her, she was extremely generous in sharing information about things to do, to skip and ones which couldn’t be missed. She helped me plan my trip tee down to the small details. Her in-depth insights made my trip memorable, especially the nights I spent at Tsomoriri.

Every traveler has a different story of Ladakh!

Every traveler has a vision that is different from others, when he/she is in Ladakh. Ladakh, the most enchanting destination in India for world & Indian travelers was on my list for a long time.

One keeps wondering what’s so different about this beautiful place and why it’s called the Pride of India! Well there are many stories to it, but what’s so different about this place is the amazing culture, people and the most diverse and the most beautiful landscape it has to offer.

Pictures and words, my only tools to capture the overwhelming physical and emotional experience of driving through one of the most awe-inspiring places on earth, Leh- Ladakh.

The land of soaring Himalayan peaks and swirling, mighty rivers, serene Gompas and the occasional tinkle of a bell from a yak, Ladakh is a land, which beckons you to visit again and again.

It was a mere coincidence how Vidula (Buffy Fish) and me got in touch, both unaware that we were from Pune. It was an instant connect. Vidula herself an avid traveler shared her views, experiences with us. She gave immediate feedback whenever asked and asked for our feedback the end of each day to improvise her itinerary. Buffy Fish was then just one expedition old, that was an all women self-driven tour from South to the North of India. I couldn’t be a part of it but I had heard great reviews about it Buffy Fish’s itinerary was packed with action from dusk to dawn, yet laughter, gossip, constructive discussions, reviews and ideas found its way to our routine anyways. It was a perfect group of three, full of energy and positive attitude. My sole interest was to do a trip totally with unknown people, get to know new people, connect. Buffy Fish made this a experience totally as I wished.

Testimonial Vidula really??!!! Hmmmm….

Here it goes Miss the snowfall slicking the high passes and clouds so low. I close my eyes as if I am on a fatal edge.

Miss the sound of screechy car brakes on those z hairpin bends across granular pointy mountain erosions

Miss the apparently tiny bikers on those hairpin bends their size mapping the magnitude of the mighty Himalayas

Miss the lens’ desperate chase of golden light painting the fossil like architecture of Leh palace.

Miss the soupy thukpa, cheesy sabagleb of tibetan kitchen from our warm home stay vacillating in the chill of warm sun and the warmth of cool wind.

Miss the hilltop perched monasteries with colorful prayer flags, wheels with whitewashed sequence of stupas and struggling to reach the top.

Miss those endless drives in infinite ravines with so many shades of brown even Nerolac needs a update on shade cards.

Miss that first sight of a glint of turquoise Tso Mo Riri when horizon only knew white and brown, of course Vidula’s crash course in peddling stones and counting the ripples on water it made and sitting by the lake at sun set listening talented Vidula’s BLUES.

Miss the child like excitement we experienced at our stop by the Magnetic Hill!

Miss the our 30 minute stay at one of the worlds highest motorable road, hot tea at the military tapri, eased it all for us.

Miss the innocent faces of the nomadic children and bribing them with candies for a picture or two.

Miss those dark nights with clear skies in valleys clutched amidstsnowcapped ridges and the windy night in the tents.

Miss the sand dunes of Nubra with layers of mountain trying in vain to capture all dimensions that eyes can possibly see.

Miss the foot tapping Ladakhi dance, Bactrian camel rides and those metered discussions in oxygen deprived brains.

Not to forgot… Miss the happy faces of our army men all tucked up in a small truck ..waving their heart out to us… we owe them our happiness today and always!

Yes..there were certain things we missed out on like -the Sangam Rafting, Turtuk village visit and chance to live a Nomads or a Monk’s life for or a day or more. And may be a visit to Kargil. Vidula do include these in your itinerary for sure.

Thanks to BuffyFish for these wonderfully planned, comfortable, value for your money trip which I totally recommend

This is Megha from Kolkata and I know Vidula via a FB gals travel group.

I was planning a trip to Leh and had posted about the same on the page, looking for some guidance, when Vidula gave me an itinerary about what all we can do there.

From then, Vidula was in constant touch helping me with the minutest detail that can make things easy.

Her itinerary also was very detailed, containing everything that one can need. She had provided me with a contact of a local driver, which made the whole trip very comfortable.

Thank you Vidula for all your tips and guidance, we had a great time!

I love travelling and equally love the travel planning phase! Best places to stay, see, eat, drink, best views, best places for photography blah blah! But when a friend is an avid traveler you do take some advantage!

Vidula at Buffyfish gave us lovely inputs for our Europe trip (Paris and Italy) me & my husband did last month! She helped us organise our 16 days across locations suggesting what’s best to see and what can be stored for a next trip there ??

Thanks Vidula your suggestions were awesome and lovely memories were made.

I haven’t done a trip with Buffyfish but with the kind of knowledge these travelers have I’m sure they are gonna do really well!

Good luck guys look forward to do a trip with u soon!

I have been a backpacker most of the earlier travel, my approach for it was on a budget and on a shoestring. But things change after marriage and especially having traveling with an infant and kid.

Since my better half and I have opposite views on how a holiday should be like, we approached BuffyFish to organize our first travel outing as a family. We wanted our kids to experience the beaches at Goa with little travel.

Vidula, found us a perfect place to stay, a property with easy access to the beach, adventure activities were just attached to the property.

We were traveling with an infant and a 3 year old for the first time on a vacation.

The joy we got from seeing the kids enjoy sun, sand and tropical rains on a clean and quite spot of beaches between the usually crowded Calangute and Baga.

The younger one was mind blown seeing so much water for the first time in his first few months on the plant earth. He decided to have Goa on a platter. He tried tasting the salty sea water and the sand on the beaches with parents keeping constant vigil on his let me taste everything in Goa.

The older kid was busy exploring his construction skills building sand castles and making his own private beach, which by the way went missing during a high tide overnight, teaching him some valuable lessons on waterfront properties. He also had his Steve Irvin moment when he saved a small fish back to the sea.

We traveled during the end of the monsoons to Goa, so we had some beautiful rains on the country side. We also explored old Goa, Bom Jesus basilica and few others old Portuguese.

Most of the time was spent around the property, Colonia santa maria, that BuffyFish had checked us into. The Indian cuisine was great, the rooms villa were clean.

Our first family vacation with my small beautiful family was very memorable, forts, beaches, forests and rains and not to mention the awesome Goan cuisine.

Thank You BuffyFish for taking care of the travel . We are definitely going to approach them for our next family vacation.

We had an amazing trip to the Golden Triangle, organized by Buffyfish. During the planning phase, the team was extremely flexible, responsive and recommended a well thought out itinerary – a good balance of sightseeing, shopping and relaxation. The attention to detail was apparent throughout – from the pickup at the airport, a clean and comfortable vehicle, and checking in by Vidula to make sure the trip was smooth. We had a wonderful local guide, Komal in Delhi who was warm, fun and informative. We visited many interesting sights during the day (Jama Masjid, Gurudwara Sis Ganj Sahib, Gauri Shankar Temple, Raj Ghaat, Humayun’s Tomb, India Gate, Qutub Minar) and despite the heat and humidity, Komal kept the kids excited and enthused throughout the day. Our visit to Agra (Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri) and Jaipur (Amer Fort, City Palace, Jantar Mantar, Hawa Mahal, Chand Baori) was simply amazing. Having experienced and knowledgeable tour guides in each of these places makes all the difference! The visit is smooth, and the narrative is so rich and interesting, that one gets a very unique perspective. The experiences that stand out during the trip include rolling chapatis at the Gurudwara and participating in demonstrations of carpet making, block printing and marble carving! A special mention about our driver Hemlaalji, who was with us throughout the trip – very courteous, knowledgeable and a competent driver – who always had his cooler stocked with cold water to help us beat the heat! Thank you to the entire team at Buffyfish for making our trip truly memorable!!

– Sujata from the Golden triangle

Amazing travel experience on our recent trip to Agra. The whole process from planning the trip, daily itinerary and logistics were executed so professionally. We were traveling with our two daughters and loved the attention to detail starting from reception at the airport with garlands, cold bottles of water for the drive from Delhi, and a very spacious well maintained SUV. The driver Hem Laal was a real nice guy, very respectful and drove safely making the journey so much more pleasurable. In Agra guide Mayank was very knowledgeable; our daughters learnt a lot about the monuments. He helped us with ticketing, long visitor lines, and took amazing pictures that made the visit to the Taj Mahal memorable. We had to make some last minute cancellations and modifications to our travel plan due to a family medical issue and BuffyFish handled it all without having to go through multiple hoops. We would definitely hire BuffyFish for our next visit and highly recommend their services

The older I get, regular birthday parties and too many people tend to grate. This year, a I wanted a birthday away from Pune, even if I spent it on the road and not a specific destination. A quick chat with Vidula brought Velas and Anjarle onto the map. Anything to do with a beach works for me and my partner, so we packed up our bike and headed out. Vidula had mentioned the turtle-hatching festival hosted at these beaches, but since we only had two days, the focus was on finding scenic routes and seafood. The coastal route to Anjarle is a beauty, though we, quite literally, hit a few rough patches on the roads. The view, and the jetty ride from Harihareshwar, make it worth it, though.

While Anjarle is known for its home-stays, we opted for a little resort on the beach where you step out onto sand and breakfast with the sea. We spent two days exploring with the bike, spotting constellations in the impossibly clear night-skies and eating. Not exactly in that order. Next time, we’ll try and catch the turtles; for this year, I’m a very satisfied birthday girl.

The guide very patiently waited for us at each pit-stop, helped us take photos, helped us buy the tickets, and guided us with shopping too. He took us to a block printing store where we had a unique experience. Car was clean, air-conditioned, and comfortable for 4 adults. The driver had stocked water for emergency purposes. He was very well-mannered, helped us load and unload the luggage, stopped at good pit-stops for us to take pictures, and took us to good restaurants. Hotel had good ambiance and very good complimentary breakfast. We had good trip to golden triangle. Vidula stayed in touch throughout the trip to make sure issues were resolved. The arrangements made were comfortable for senior citizen and children. Overall we enjoyed and felt safe and comfortable with our guide and driver on our 5 D 4 N trip to the Golden Triangle.
